Shawn E. Hodges, PharmD

Dr. Shawn Hodges is majority owner of Innovation Compounding. He purchased Miller Compounding, from Matt Poelke in May of 2007. Since then he has served as a consultant for men’s health including erectile dysfunction and chronic fatigue. He also has a pain management and hospice background, thus serving as the primary contact for these therapeutic areas 

Professional Background: Shawn graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy in 2001. Upon graduation he was awarded a one-year fellowship program with Eli Lilly. He researched the drug approval process by serving as a liaison between FDA and Lilly. Since completion of the Fellowship, he has provided countless hospice medication management consultations as well as clinical presentations through various state conferences. 

Personal Background: Shawn and his wife Joelle, reside in Kennesaw, GA with their newborn baby, Liana; Labrador, Talbot; cat, Brenham; and horse, Pockets. They enjoy rafting, running, and spending time on the trails of Kennesaw Mountain. Shawn is a huge fan of golf and football, and is hoping that in the next 10 years Joelle will enjoy the same!

 


Joe Aaron, PharmD; BHRT Restoration Specialist

Dr. Joe Aaron joined the Innovation Compounding team from an independent compounding pharmacy in Gwinnett County where he worked for 2 years. Joe will be serving as the BioIdentical Restoration Specialist, a position that optimizes health outcomes by consulting with both patients and physicians.

Professional Background: Joe graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in 2007. Upon graduation he accepted a clinical pharmacy position at Emory University Hospital where he worked part time until 2009. Since graduation he has been involved with compounding pharmacy and BHRT attending many seminars and continuing education courses. Joe did his undergraduate work at Reinhardt College where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology as well as a bachelor's degree in Business Management Joe is originally from Virginia, where he still visits family regularly. He played soccer in college and was a two-time All American and member of the 1998 National Runner-up team. Joe is now very involved in coaching youth soccer as well as high school soccer at GACS where they recently won their second State Championship in 3 years.

Personal Background: When not at work or playing soccer, Joe is probably out running as he is currently training for his second marathon this fall.

 


Jane Kalichak, RPh

Jane Kalichak has been with Miller/Innovation Compounding for nine years. She is involved in all aspects of the compounding process. Her experience plus her certification in 797 compliance and aseptic technique, gives her ability to focus on quality assurance and performance improvement.

Professional Background: Jane graduated from Auburn University in 1987 with a BS of Science in Pharmacy. In addition to her years with Innovation Compounding she has also worked for Wal-mart Pharmacy for 20 + years and Kaiser Permanente Personal:

Personal Background: Jane and her husband Darrell reside in Kennesaw with their three children. 


Kacey Griffin, CPhT, BSN (candidate)

Kacey Griffin is a pharmacy technician at Innovation Compounding. She began working at Miller Compounding, in September 2005 before the new ownership transition in May of 2007. Since then she has served as lead technician.

Professional Background: Kacey is currently attending Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer where she will be working towards her RN BSN.

Personal Background: Kacey and her husband Dan, reside in Canton, GA with their Chihuahua, Dixie and two Pit Bulls: Tyson and Chopper. They enjoy playing softball, working out in the gym, spending time on the lake, and good times with friends. Kacey and Dan are originally from south Florida and moved to Georgia 5 years ago because they loved the change of pace and scenery. Kacey loves watching football with her husband.

 


Judy Hall, Technician

Judy began her employment with Miller Compounding 10 years ago, and has been a very integral part of the team since then. Her main responsibilities include packing powders into capsules, creams into tubes, and lotions into syringes. She also prepares the packaging for mailing of the medications as well. Personal Background: Judy and her husband, Harold, reside in Marietta. She is a proud mother of two daughters Michelle and Christina, and her grandson Marcus. On weekends, she enjoys spending time in her mountain house. She also enjoys vacationing wherever scuba diving is available!

 


Amy Roark, Technician 

Amy recently joined the pharmacy team in the fall of 2009.  Currently she’s pursuing a degree in nursing, and  is a  pre-nursing student at Georgia Highlands College. She hopes to enter the nursing program in spring 2011.In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, and cats Lexi and Priscilla.


Heather Belle, Technician 

Heather Bell recently joined the pharmacy team in August of this year. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in business management and hopes to enter into human resources. Her excellent organizational and communication skills  have already been put to good use.!

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and playing with her dog, Belle.
