Shawn Hodges, PharmD
President & CEO
Dr. Shawn Hodges graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Texas Tech University School of Pharmacy in 2001, and he is a pharmacist and the owner of Innovation Compounding. Upon graduation he was awarded a one-year fellowship program with Eli Lilly. He researched the drug approval process by serving as a regulatory liaison between FDA and Lilly. Since completion of the fellowship, he has provided countless hospice medication management consultations as well as clinical presentations through various state conferences. Shawn also supports men’s health by consulting on conditions including: erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, and chronic fatigue.
Shawn and his family reside in Marietta, GA. They enjoy rafting, running, and spending time on the trails of Kennesaw Mountain with his wife, daughter, and their labrador. Shawn is a huge fan of golf and football, and he hopes that in the next 10 years his wife will enjoy the same!
Mitchell Bell, PharmD
VP Pharmacy Operations
Dr. Mitchell Bell completed his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in 2012 after studying chemistry at the University of Georgia. Upon graduation, he worked with Target Pharmacy as the Pharmacy Manager prior to joining the Innovation Compounding team in November of 2013.
He is well-trained and competent in non-sterile and sterile compounding and currently serves as the Vice President of Pharmacy Operations at Innovation Compounding. Mitchell manages the daily compounding operations in the pharmacy and assists in new product development.
He is married with two dogs and enjoys cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs football team during the fall.
Tara Thompson, PharmD
VP, Clinical Services
Tara Thompson obtained her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 2012, after receiving her Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M University. She joined Innovation in 2012 to advance her clinical mindset by focusing on women’s health and pursue her love for compounding. Tara collaborates with providers and patients across the US who are interested or presently using compounded medications to treat women’s health. Her areas of expertise and extensive research include Female Sexual Dysfunction, Pelvic Health, and Hormone Replacement Therapy. She currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Services at Innovation Compounding.
When she’s not treating vaginismus or vulvodynia, Tara can be found cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Texas Aggies, indulging in some sort of outdoor activity, or just relaxing with her husband and sweet kids.
Casey Greene, PharmD
Director, Sterile Compounding
Dr. Casey Greene completed his Doctorate in Pharmacy from Mercer University in 2013 after having completed his Health Science degree from Kennesaw State University. Upon graduation, he completed a postgraduate pharmacy residency at The Medical Center in Columbus, GA to gain a wide array of clinical and management pharmacy experience.
Before coming to Innovation Compounding, he worked as a sterile compounding technician in hospital throughout pharmacy school, and after his post-graduate residency went on to become the Quality Control Manager at another compounding pharmacy, which gave him valuable experience in various regulatory, quality control and best practice methods within sterile and non-sterile compounding. He is experienced with many compounding based therapies including IV nutrition, hormone replacement therapy, and weight loss. Casey joined Innovation Compounding in December of 2016, and serves as Director of Sterile Compounding.
Casey is married with 2 Shetland Sheepdogs. He worked in the fitness industry before pharmacy, and still enjoys learning more about exercise, nutrition, and overall health.
Jane Kalichak, RPh
Jane Kalichak holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University (1987). This is where Jane first developed her interest in compounding. Prior to joining the team at Innovation Compounding in 2006, she served in Pharmacist roles for Kaiser Permanente, Wal-Mart Pharmacy, and Miller Compounding. Jane currently serves as a staff pharmacist specializing in sterile compounding.
When away from the pharmacy, Jane enjoys being an active mother to her three school-age children, and is always looking to plan her next vacation with them and her husband.
Senior Director of Account Development, Integrated Health
Lori Harrison earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Georgia State University and serves as our Senior Director of Account Development in the area of Integrated Health. Lori joined Innovation Compounding in 2013 bringing over 13 years of experience as a Urology clinic director, giving her a unique perspective on our customer’s needs. Lori specializes as a consultant to practices interested in integrated medicine, focusing on a patients whole self and overall wellness. Specifically, she provides education and support related to Innovation Compounding’s various therapeutic lines (IV nutrition, Men’s and Women’s health, including hormone replacement therapies, and weight loss). Lori also assists practices implementing new therapies or expanding existing services that utilize compounded medications to meet patient needs.
In her free time, Lori enjoys going on new adventures with her sons, spending time outdoors, and DIY projects. She loves to organize! She is an Atlanta native, and loves finding new and interesting places or restaurants to visit around town.
Robert Erskine, B.S.
Director of Allergy
Robert Erskine received a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and completed 3 years of postgraduate study at Harvard Medical School, Division of Medical Sciences Immunology program. During his career, he has gained extensive experience in the use of allergenic extracts for allergy skin testing and immunotherapy, and he has been invited to lecture at numerous allergy fellowship training programs in the US and Canada.
Robert will lead Innovation Compounding’s full portfolio of allergy products and services, including AllerScripts, a science-based clinical program for allergy skin testing, subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT), and sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT).
Robert joins Innovation Compounding from Renaissance Bioscience, an independent consulting group providing scientific education and training related to allergy diagnosis and immunotherapy. Prior to that, he was Associate Scientific Director at ALK-Abelló, Inc., where he led the scientific affairs and medical science liaison activities in North America. Robert also has 10 years of laboratory research experience with appointments at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Harvard University, and Biogen-Idec.
Robert, his wife Melanie, and daughter Savannah reside in Austin, TX. Robert plays competitive sand volleyball with his wife and he also enjoys the occasional round of golf. Robert is an avid stamp collector and hopes to one day buy some land and grow a small vineyard in the hill country of Central Texas.
Director, Pharmacy Development
Bryan Thompson is the Director of Pharmacy Development at Innovation Compounding. In addition to assisting in the completion of the pharmacy’s strategic plan, Bryan also facilitates future growth opportunities and new ventures for the business.
Upon graduation from Texas A&M University in 2008, Bryan’s interest in business development inspired him to pursue the expansion and growth of start-up companies and independent businesses. This eventually led him to Georgia, where he successfully started, matured, and sold a commercial services business to one of the leading corporation’s in the industry.
Bryan is married and has two beautiful children Luke, & Taylor. In his spare time, Bryan can be found kayaking.
Dianne Cole, CPhT, B.S.
Manager, Account Liaison
Dianne Cole is a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Kennesaw State University. Dianne arrived at Innovation Compounding in 2015 with 4 years of pharmacy retail experience and 2 years of specialty pharmacy sales experience. She initially started working in non-sterile compounding, where her skill set greatly expanded. Currently, Dianne is also trained in sterile compounding and uses her work history to help bridge the gap between clinics and pharmacy operations by supporting practices as an account manager.
Dianne was born on Long Island, New York but has lived in Georgia most of her life. During her free time, Dianne enjoys traveling, hiking, listening to music, eating Mexican food, and any combination of the four.
Miranda Altomare CPhT B.S.
Quality Assurance Manager
Miranda Altomare holds a B.S. in Biology and has been a part of the Innovation Compounding team since January 2012. Her skill set grew rapidly while moving into various departments to support the growth of the pharmacy. In addition to being a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT), Miranda is trained in compounding sterile and non-sterile medications. She enjoys working for a compounding pharmacy that strives to deliver high-quality, customized prescriptions for patients all over the country. Her efficiency and organization serves to ensure continued compliance in a rapidly changing and growing industry. She currently serves as the Quality Assurance Manager, ensuring compliance with internal SOP’s, USP guidelines, and accreditation standards.
Miranda was born and raised in Georgia, but her passion is to travel. When she isn’t busy being the coolest aunt ever, you can find Miranda hiking with her husband, or relaxing with some French press coffee and a book.
Jonathan O'Connor, PharmD
Director, Compounding Pharmacist
Dr. Jonathan O'Connor was raised in a small town in Middle Georgia where he worked at an independent retail pharmacy before and during pharmacy school. It was there that Jonathan learned to admire the independent spirit of pharmacy and understand the demand for compounding pharmacy. He graduated with his Associates Degree in Pre-Pharmacy from Middle Georgia College in 2010 before he completed the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at the University of Georgia in May of 2015. Upon graduation, Jonathan joined the Innovation Pharmacy team to grow his skill-set in all aspects of compounding pharmacy.
Jonathan is an avid sports fan who loves the Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Braves, and spending time on the lake.
