Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Non-sterile Pharmaceutical Preparations

Atlanta, GA — Responsible for compounding non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of the compounding pharmacist. Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops.

Must be a Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience.

Position:  Full Time
Salary: $12.00 to $15.00 /hour
Experience:  Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsible for compounding non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations under the supervision of the compounding pharmacist. Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops.

Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met. Compounding technician shall compound medication, fill and label prescriptions and prepackage bulk medications.

Compounding technician shall also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, maintain MSDS and Certificates of Analysis and perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques. Environmental monitoring and validation testing shall be performed according to policies and procedures. 

Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training in nonsterile compounding or equivalent experience.

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Pharmaceutical Support

Atlanta, GA — Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Data Entry Pharmacy Technician supports the activities of the pharmacists; ensures accuracy of patient information; and receives payments from patients.

Must be a Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience.

Salary: $11.00 to $13.00 /hour
Education:  High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience: 

  • Data Entry: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel Software: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsible for performing pharmacy support activities under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Job Activities and Responsibilities:
Must have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Clerk may be the first point of contact for customers so customers must be greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Clerk shall ensure the accuracy of patient information and receive patient payment.
    Other responsibilities may include: entering patient information into a computer, receiving patient refills by telephone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages, organization and appearance of the pharmacy front-end, ordering and pricing front-end merchandise.
  • Clerk shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist and is not permitted to perform duties restricted to pharmacists or technicians.

Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training in nonsterile compounding or equivalent experience.

Filling and Packing Pharmacy Technician

Pharmaceutical Support

Atlanta, GA — Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Filling and Packing Pharmacy Technician supports the activities of the pharmacists and fulfills daily packaging assignments. Performs quality checks to insure the correct medication is being sent to the correct patient, organizes packages by correct courier (Fedex,  USPS) for efficient pickup of orders. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining proper levels of packing and shipping materials at the work station.

Must have Georgia Pharmacy Technician license and be able to navigate computer operating systems.

Required Skills: 

  • Must have Georgia Pharmacy Technician license
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and navigate computer operating systems.
  • Must have a working knowledge of a fax machine
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and operate a business telephone system

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
