Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist

Non-sterile Pharmaceutical Preparations

Kennesaw, GA — Performs all aspects of non-sterile pharmacy compounding at Innovation Compounding, Inc.

Must be a Georgia-licensed pharmacist with compounding training or equivalent experience preferred.

Position:  Full Time
Salary: $27.00 to $29.00 /hour
Reports to: Pharmacist-in-charge

The compounding pharmacist shall know of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.  Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates, or lollipops.

Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met.

The compounding pharmacist shall perform compounding and supervise pharmacy technicians compounding of preparations, filling and labeling of prescriptions and prepackaging of bulk medications. The compounding pharmacist shall also perform order entry, communicate with providers to receive new prescription orders, provide clarification of prescriptions or refill authorizations, perform a final check on prescriptions, counsel patients and answer questions from patients and providers.

The compounding pharmacist shall also be responsible to:

  • Monitor inventory levels and re-order low inventory or expiring chemicals
  • Receive new inventory
  • Ensure maintenance of MSDS and Certificates of Analysis
  • Oversee annual inventory
  • Ensure the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques
  • Ensure that environmental monitoring and validation testing is performed according to policies and procedures

Minimum qualifications: Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience.

Physical requirements:  Position requires good hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift up to thirty pounds.

Manager of Account Development, Integrated Health

Position Summary: The Manager of Account Development, Integrated Health will serve as the liaison between pharmacy and Integrated Health professionals by providing support and education to these practices related to Innovation Compounding’s core product lines for integrated health.  In addition, the Manager of Account Development, Integrated Health will support business development activities for regional outside Managers of Account Development and inside Manager of Account Development to help drive significant market growth of core product lines.

Sales and Customer Support

  • Develop comprehensive sales plan for Integrated practices outside of existing Managers territory, large or multi-site accounts and B2B customers
  • Triage leads for core product lines to ensure prompt follow up on interest and disseminate to appropriate team member
  • Identify significant new business opportunities outside of Managers territories in the area of Integrated Health (MANgevity, Vanessis, Slim and NutraFuse) with focus on NutraFuse
  • Maintain contact with customers to resolve challenges, facilitate client needs, and consistently educate on new compounded products and services
  • Work with Manager of Allergy on shared customers and related accounts
  • Identify, build and manage B2B partnerships, including relationships with pharmacies that do not meet definition of third party relationship (TPR)
  • Exhibit at approved conferences per Strategic Plan related to Core Product lines and NutraFuse
  • Follow up from conference leads either directly or disseminate to Managers
  • Develop strategic relationships and expand collaborations with other integrated business partners

Team Leader and Team Management

  • Coordinate sales and product knowledge training for Innovation Compounding’s core product lines with Managers, including coaching to improve selling skills, effectiveness of closing, territory & expense management
  • Weekly sales call with team to provide pharmacy updates, address current customer problems or issues inhibiting sales
  • Disperse weekly reports to team on RX counts and revenue for their respective clients
  • Support growth and development of sales team

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences.  Knowledge of Pharmacy industry and general economics of the business; Understanding of pharmacy operation and current States Pharmacy Practice laws and regulations;  Experience in outside or inside sales;  Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to build/maintain customer relationships;  Excellent work ethic, including a personal drive to excel independently.  Solid PC skills including Microsoft software.  Ability to pick-up 30 lbs. Experience in compounding pharmacy a plus.

Manager, Business Development - Allergy

Job Summary: The Manager, Business Development is expected to consistently achieve sales objectives through profiling, targeting, and closing on new business opportunities. The position is also responsible for customer support and will be focused on maintaining prescriber/customer satisfaction with a solution-oriented mind set, while raising the level of awareness, and brand loyalty within Innovation Compounding’s Allergy product portfolio.

Job Activities and Responsibilities: Manager’s primary focus is to sell the Allerscripts clinical program for allergy skin testing and immunotherapy to key accounts across multiple specialties (Family Practice, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Dermatology, etc). In addition, organic growth of current customers located within territory by driving implementation and utilization of Allerscripts. Manager should:

  • manage current accounts by maintaining relationships;
  • the number of “touches” per quarter is determined by customer revenue.
  • Respond to customer inquiries (or complaints) related to but not limited to order status / tracking, pricing information, new product interest, requests for additional information.
  • Forward all clinical and patient-specific inquiries, including reports on adverse events to clinical support team.
  • Provide access to Innovation Compounding resources, including prescribing & program support materials.
  • Collaborate with Core Product Team for all new leads on customer interest in products outside the Allergy portfolio.
  • Develop and implement efficient territory business plan.
  • Partake in daily calls with practices to achieve sales quotas and move practices to next “stage”.
  • Manager should document all sales activity in CRM (Insightly), deliver sales presentations to customers focused on clinical program & product options and Increase brand and service awareness throughout territory.
  • Performance Evaluations will be based on meeting all sales objectives, customer retention and program utilization, converting skin testing to immunotherapy prescriptions, New customer acquisitions and growth.
  • Maintain a positive and fun work environment and interaction with colleagues, internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of pharmacy industry and general economics of pharmacy business. Preferred deep knowledge of, or experience in the allergy industry. Manager must have understanding pharmacy operations and current regulations related to compounding pharmacy. Excellent Communication (written and oral) Skills as well as organizational skills are a must. Director must have thorough & detailed-oriented documentation skills, excellent work ethic, and a personal drive to excel independently. Director needs the ability to build and maintain customer relationships, solve problems with a focus on delivering solutions to customer inquiries while maintaining a positive, customer oriented demeanor. Must be able to multi-task while ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Filling and Shipping Clerk

Job Activities and Responsibilities:  Must have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.  Clerk may be first point of contact for customers so it is very important that customers are greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner.  Clerk is responsible for verifying addresses and medications, and organizing, packing, and shipping of those medications to meet timed pick-ups.  Other responsibilities may include ordering and managing supplies for pharmacy operations, stocking and organizing the storage areas, and organizing and restocking inventory.  Clerk shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist and is not permitted to perform duties restricted to pharmacists or technicians.  Organization, time management, and attention to detail are crucial for this position.

Minimum qualifications:  High School Diploma preferred.  Must be a Georgia Licensed Pharmacy Technician.  Must be able to navigate computer operating systems.

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Job Activities and Responsibilities:  Must have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.  Technician may be first point of contact for customers so it is very important that customers are greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner.  Technician shall ensure accuracy of patient information and receive patient payment.  Other responsibilities may include checking prescriptions for completeness and entering necessary information into computer to generate a prescription label and batch sheet (if necessary), filling and labeling prescriptions and prepackaging bulk medications, communicating with prescribers to receive refill authorization, receiving patient refills by telephone, directing calls or taking and relaying messages, organization and appearance of the pharmacy front-end, ordering and pricing front-end merchandise.  Technician shall work under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Minimum qualifications:   Georgia-registered pharmacy technician with formal training or equivalent experience.
